Direct
Drive Bin Sweep
The
Direct Drive Sweep operates both an unloading auger and the sweep
auger with one motor on the external power head. This sweep is permanently
installed and should be positioned near the intermediate wells before
filling the bin. |

Power Heads

Powder Paint Coated
The
direct drive sweep center wells are powder coated to help combat
corrosion, and feature a double gear box assembly. This takes the
power from the under-bin auger and transmits power to the sweep.

Offset Intermediate
Well
Intermediate
wells are made with galvanized steel for increased durability and
extended life. See our Bin
Wells page for other available options.

To
unload the bin, the unloading auger is started with the sweep clutch
disengaged and the center well gate opened using the center gate control
rod. When the grain stops flowing to the center, open the intermediate
wells. After intermediate grain flow stops, turn off the motor and
engage the sweep with the clutch control rod. Finally, restart the
power head motor and the Direct Drive Sweep will pull grain into the
center well while rotating around the bottom of the bin. All of this
is done from the OUTSIDE of the bin. To save you time, the power heads
attach with a square connector making it easier to move it from one
bin to another. |

Steel Clutch
A
solid steel clutch is enclosed in a separate chamber, keeping fines
and debris from damaging the chain transmission. (Cover removed
for illustration.)
The
removable cover provides easy access to the clutch compartment.
This makes for simple maintenance and lubrication.

We
include a control rod kit, which comes with 3 rods; one to control
the center well, one for the intermediate wells, and one to control
the clutch, and of course, all the handles and hardware too.

Bearing
Support
Intermediate
sweep bearings stabilize the flight auger against the weight of the
grain. On
the end of the sweep, a rubber wheel helps move the auger forward
and provides additional support keeping the sweep flighting from
touching the bin floor.
