To update the software in our computerized control systems, you will need the proper hardware and software.

The following are models that should be compatible with PalmFlash: (Models underlined have been tested and verified to work)

m125, m130, m500, m505, m515, i705, Tungsten T, Tungsten T2, Tungsten T3.

You will need a Palm serial cable # P10804U or a Belkin cable # F8P3101.

m100, m105, IIIC

You will need a Palm serial cable # P10701U for the IIIc if you don't want to use the cradle that comes with the unit.

Below are a list of parts you will need to successfully program dryers using your Palm Pilot.

If you are purchasing a Palm Pilot for the purpose of updating software for our products, make sure you select one of the models shown at the right.  These are the only models that contain the universal connector which is necessary to hookup the serial cable adaptor.

Palm Flash Software Installation v1.7 (updated 9/24/04)

Palm Flash installation program has now been condensed into a single 845k install file.  This installation program will install the Palm_Flash.prc (Palm program) v1.31, Palmcon2.dll (Conduit) v1.1, and the most current versions available for each style of controls. (I.e. Network, Autoflow, Competitor, ect.)  You can download it here.

Palm Flash Fixes include:

  • Compatibility with Tungsten brand Palm Pilots using OS5. (May include all future versions :-) )
  • Fatal Reset error has been fixed during normal usage.
  • Better establishing communication routines.
  • Expanded Display window to 8 lines.

Palm Flash Conduit Fixes include:
  • Conduit can be configured to Do Nothing or sync PC to HH by clicking on the Hotsync symbol in your system tray and selecting Custom then Palm Flash.
  • Double Hotsync bug has been removed.
  • Removed annoying Hotsync Log Error window.

Palm Flash Installation Fixes include:
  • Install program will now shutdown and restart Hotsync to properly register the PalmFlash conduit without reboot your PC.

Please uninstall  and delete any earlier versions of Palm Flash installation you may have downloaded.  There was an error that wouldn't properly register the Palm Flash conduit with the Windows registry.  Also you may get multiple entries of Palm Flash conduit uninstall in your add/remove programs section of the control panel.
