Neglecting Grain Quality in Storage is Money Lost

BLOOMINGTON, Ill. — It’s only natural to think more about the corn that is about to be planted than what is in your grain bin, but both need attention.

Unfortunately, one of the busiest times of the year during spring calving and planting is also one of the most important times to monitor the grain as outside temperatures rise, said Gary Woodruff, GSI application manager. Woodruff recommends designating one person to be responsible for checking the grain weekly.
